An icon of 1950s Italian design and a symbol of innovation on a stylistic, material and technological level, the Lady armchair by Marco Zanuso has marked history for its extraordinary construction modernity. Slender metal legs that contrast with the comfortable padded parts are its style signature. In addition to being the first armchair covered in polyurethane foam and foam, the design introduces a springing system with reinforced elastic straps for a greater level of comfort, while the thin metal legs enhance the lightness of the shapes.‎ All the structural elements integrate together as a whole consisting of the seat, backrest and armrests, making the model an authentic masterpiece of Made in Italy, awarded the Gold Medal at the IX Triennale of Milan in 1951.
