053 Capitol Complex is Cassina's homage to the Swiss architect/designer Pierre Jeanneret, one of the great names of the modern movement. Jeanneret's 053 appeared in the rooms of the Haute Cour, in the Capitol Complex of Chandigarh, a work by cousin Le Corbusier dated 1951. Although many years have passed, the design of this armchair is modern, which makes us understand the genius of its creator. It appears imposing, solid, but the padding that covers the backrest, seat and armrests communicates a feeling of softness and welcome. An essential piece for design lovers, which can enrich a living, sleeping or study area.
