053 Capitol Complex is Cassina's homage to the Swiss architect/designer Pierre Jeanneret, one of the great names of the modern movement. Jeanneret's 053 appeared in the rooms of the Haute Cour, in the Capitol Complex of Chandigarh, a work by cousin Le Corbusier dated 1951. Although many years have passed, the design of this armchair is absolutely modern, which makes us understand the genius of its creator . At first glance it appears imposing, solid, but the padding that covers the backrest, seat and armrests communicates a feeling of softness and welcome. An essential piece for design lovers, which is able to enrich a living, sleeping or study area.
